The Election Commission will on Friday reportedly meet representatives of 55 political parties, including seven national and 48 state parties, to put forward its stand on the hacking of electronic voting machines. The EC will convene the meeting to discuss the reliability of EVMs after leaders of 13 parties met EC officials in April to convey their “complete loss of faith” in the EVMs. They demanded the use of voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) and paper ballots in future polls.
