A legislature committee on women and child welfare headed by N A Haris reportedly submitted its report to the Karnataka assembly on Tuesday. According to reports, the committee has recommended that Information Technology and Biotechnology companies in Bangalore should avoid assigning night shifts to women. The lack of safety and security for working women in Bengaluru is said to be the reason behind this recommendation.
