Following Supreme Court’s refusal to pass a judgement to allow Jallikattu before Pongal, TN’s opposition party, DMK, on Thursday announced a state-wide agitation over the issue. The apex court said it had prepared the judgement draft, but it cannot be delivered before Saturday. Notably, the bull-taming festival had been banned by the Supreme Court in 2014 due to animal abuse.
