The Delhi High Court on Wednesday reportedly rejected President Pranab Mukherjee's order staying a convict's death sentence, and instead sentenced him to life imprisonment. Stating discrepancies and falsities in the affidavits, the Delhi HC added that the 5-year solitary confinement of the convict violated his fundamental rights, because of which it was bound to intervene and give relief.
