MAD Peravai general secretary and niece of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, Deepa Jayakumar, reportedly welcomed the arrest of AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran. Calling upon ‘Amma’ loyalists to support her, Deepa took a dig at the two factions of AIADMK. She stated that the banners with Sasikala’s picture were removed from the AIADMK headquarters only to divert attention from the arrest of Dhinakaran, and called upon the party cadres not to fall prey to such gimmicks.
