In Gujarat's Gandhinagar district, a dead rat was reportedly found in Wednesday's mid-day meal at a government-run primary school, just before it was to be served, officials said. The teacher recognized the rat while sampling the food, Congress MLA Amit Chaudhary from the constituency said. Notably, the state government had announced the school as a model school, he added.
