Harpreet Singh, a Ranji player reportedly drove his car onto Andheri railway station platform during rush hour on Monday. According to reports, Harpreet has been held for questioning by the railway police and a medical examination will be conducted to check whether he was drunk. Andheri is one of the few railway stations in Mumbai which is on the ground level and runs mostly parallel to the main roads and it is also connected to the road by a ramp, which makes it easy for cars to drive straight on to it. Notably, Harpreet was a member of the Pune Warriors India squad in the 2011 Indian Premier League and he has represented India at the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
