The Indian National Congress has reportedly started the process to elect its President. The election date has been announced as 15 October. Notably, the Election Commission previously gave the party six more months time till December to complete its internal elections. According to reports, the party is still not clear about the elevation of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi as the party chief.
