The Madurai bench of the Madras high court on Monday reportedly granted an interim injunction stopping Coca Cola and Pepsi from drawing water from the Thamirabarani river. Notably, Tirunelveli District Consumer Protection Association secretary D A Prabakar filed a petition in the court seeking not to supply Thamirabarani river water to the two companies.
