A class nine student on Wednesday hung himself to death after his principal allegedly harassed him for not paying fees. The 16-year-old victim, Mirza Salman Baig, committed suicide after he was publicly shamed and was made to sit with much younger boys, with his pants pulled down by the principal, Khaja Zainulabedin, until he finally paid the fees on Wednesday. The police have arrested the principal after Salman's family claimed that harassment by the school management drove the teenager to suicide.
