A spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce has reportedly warned US that “trade wars of the 1930s could even be repeated”, if the Trump administration decides to ignore World Trade Organisation rulings and unilaterally imposes tariffs on its goods. This comes after the US government sent an annual trade policy agenda that implied America is not bound by WTO decisions.
