The boom in the mosquito population this year is expected to increase the number of vector-borne diseases like chikungunya, dengue, and malaria. So far, 79 chikungunya, 24 dengue, and 13 malaria patients have been admitted to the hospitals in Delhi. According to reports, this is the highest number in the corresponding period since 2012. With the monsoon just months away, the number is expected to increase.
