The National Human Rights Commission has found that Chhattisgarh Police personnel in Bijapur district prima facie raped and sexually abused 16 women in October 2015. The state government is liable for this gross violation of the human rights, the commission reportedly held. Further, the commission has reportedly sent a notice to the government for providing monetary relief to the victims.
