Over 300 farmers carried out a road roko in Vilambur on Tuesday to protest against the coal conveyer belt of the Cheyyur power plant. According to reports, the coal conveyer belt is planned to pass through the agricultural lands and it may affect the farmer's livelihood. Notably, the conveyer belt will cover a distance of about five-kilometre agricultural land in Cheyyur.
