Jaya Durga Peetam, a temple in Padappai - a suburb on the outskirts of Chennai has reportedly swapped its traditional south Indian prasad for more trendy and chic offerings. The temple currently offers varieties of ‘new prasad’ including burgers, brownies, cracker sandwiches and cherry tomato salads. The move is said to have rustled up quite a bit of interest among locals and tourists.
