New Chief Justice of India sworn in

Deepak Misra has sworn in as the 45th Chief Justice of India on Monday. He administered the oath at Rashtrapathi Bhawan in front of the President Ram Nath Kovind. Reportedly Misra is the senior most judge in Supreme court after JS Kehar who retired on Sunday. According to media reports, Misra is known for his criminal defamations, especially on the verdict of Nirbhaya case by providing death penalty to the convicts.
