According to media reports, Stevin Mathew a 19-year-old boy who has down syndrome from Qatar was always fascinated by police and always wanted to become a police officer. He wrote a letter to the Chennai commissioner of Police when he was on vacation in Chennai. Reportedly the Ashok Nagar police station stitched a uniform for Stevin and took him around in the police jeep. Stevin also attended few calls and used the walkie talky. Mathew's father stated that he was happy that the Chennai police helped his son's dream come true.
