The Chennai Metro Rail Ltd is reportedly planning to install solar power plants at its stations. According to reports, this initiative will save up to ₹1.5 crore a year in energy costs. Notably, Bengaluru-based CleanMax Solar will put up the solar panels and sell the power generated to Chennai Metro.
