Chennai on Sunday reportedly suffered its second-hottest day in ten years. The mercury reached a temperature of 39.8 degree Celsius. According to reports, dry westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal is said to be the reason for this rise in temperature. Notably, this weather is expected to persist till Tuesday.
