According to reports, a police inspector, attached to Anna Nagar police station, has been under internal probe after a businessman complained to senior police officers that the inspector pocketed Rs 36 lakh as commission for exchanging Rs one crore of demonetised notes. The cop, who initially agreed to a lower commission, took a higher cut after the money was exchanged. The frustrated businessman complained to senior police officers, and an internal probe has been ordered, say reports.
