The Southern Railways reportedly started the renovation of the Chennai Central station on Friday. According to reports, the renovation will widen the entrance on the Wall Tax Road. Notably, the work on demolishing the existing wall began on Thursday. The renovation will reportedly give passengers direct access to platforms 1 and 2. Notably, the revamp was ordered after two audit reports gave a poor rating to the iconic railway station.
