Chechnya government has allegedly opened prison camps for gay men. According to reports, more than 100 gay men have been held as prisoners in concentration camps. Those in the camps are reportedly electrocuted and beaten to reveal the whereabouts of fellow homosexuals. Notably, this is the first persecution of gay men since 1930s.
