The Supreme Court collegium on Monday has reportedly cleared the memorandum of procedure (MoP) for the appointment of judges. By this memorandum, Centre will have the power to reject the appointment of judges on the grounds of national security. The Centre can also set up secretariats in the courts to screen judge aspirants.
