Harnish Patel, a businessman of Indian-origin, was allegedly shot dead outside his home in South Carolina's Lancaster County on Thursday. According to reports, 43-year-old Patel had closed his store, the Speedee Mart, at 11:24 p.m. and barely ten minutes later he was shot dead outside his house. Notably, the incident took place two days after US President Donald Trump had condemned the hate killing of Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla in a Kansas bar on February 22.
