The silver lining is, some of the companies are using their resources and partnering with outplacement agencies to ensure that these employees are hired by other companies.
“Layoffs are a big story, but companies are hiring too,” Joel Paul, general manager- India, RiseSmart told ET. The company has partnered with Swiggy and Airbnb among other companies to offer outplacement services. The move has provided some relief to employees who have lost their jobs.

A 27- year- old who lost her job at a Gurgaon- based- startup told ET that the market is bad and landing into another job might be difficult.
