EXPERTS ASK IT COMPANIES TO OPEN OFFICE AND RESUME BUSINESS OPERATIONS - REPORT!
Home > News Shots > BusinessAs India’s tally of the coronavirus surged to 6,394,068 after 81,484 fresh infections and 1,095 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, experts ask people not to hesitate to return to their daily lives, keeping in mind the precautionary measures.
According to a Times Now report, Dr Srinivas Rao, director of Public Health and Family Welfare said, "I appeal to the employers, especially in the IT corridor of Cyberabad, Hitec City and Madhapur, to resume business operations. Almost 98 percent of people in the Greater Hyderabad region have gone back to their regular lives."
“The only vaccine at the moment is effectively wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and using hand sanitizers”, Rao emphasised.
As per recent updates, Telangana recorded 2,214 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of infections to 1,93,600, while the death toll rose to 1,135 with eight more fatalities.
As reported by The Indian Express, hospitals are also seeing low bed occupancy, with government and private establishments having only 25.4 and 34.5 percent of their beds full, respectively. Meanwhile, the recovery rate has risen to 83.84 percent.
As the recovery rate has increased, Dr Rao said, “The number of positive cases will further come down. We had the inauguration of a cable stayed bridge in the city where hundreds had gathered in one place. We had a political rally and several public events. We have an assembly by-election and elections to the GHMC coming up. Unless we take precautions, we may have sudden outbreaks in clusters leading to a surge in cases."
Also, the increasing number of tests to a minimum of 50,000 per day helped in early identification of cases, tracing of primary and secondary contacts as well as ensuring proper treatment, Indian Express further reported.
“We have instructed RT-PCR tests to be conducted on anyone with symptoms even if they test negative for antibodies. Now we have decided that all our mobile labs will collect only RT-PCR samples in areas where we have a high test positivity ratio”, Rao finally added.
