TCS, INFOSYS, HCL, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA SHARE UPDATES ON WORK FROM HOME PLAN

According to data shared by the management for the quarter ended June 30, more than 95 percent of employees at India's top five IT companies continue to work from home.
The names of India's top five IT majors are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. Together they have over 11.38 lakh employees on their rolls for the quarter ended June.
As per Times Now report, a 95 percent average would mean 10.81 lakh employees are working from home, which is an incredible boost to execution and technology.
Meanwhile, TCS said only 1 percent of its workforce is currently working from the office. During the quarter end in June 2020, it had over 4.43 lakh employees and over 4,000 employees worked at its offices around the globe while the remaining continued to work from home.
TCS also said that it would take up this number in a conservative way and would steadily increase this to 5 percent over the next quarter. Amid this pandemic, the company's Vision 25*25, aims to have only 25 percent of its employees to work from its facilities by 2025. The company further clarified that every employee can work without spending more than 25 percent of their time in a TCS office, Times Now further reported.
Meanwhile, the work from home percentages for Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra is between 95-96 percent.
Last week, The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) extended the relaxation to facilitate work from home till December 31, 2020, which was totally welcomed by leaders of the Indian IT industry. With this move, companies can ask their employees to continue to work from home till the end of the year.
