His company has touched Rs. 9 lakh crore for the first time ever in October 2019, where the market value of RIL has crossed several milestones to top the Rs 13 lakh crore mark recently.
By keeping its position high, Ambani has helped the conglomerate to retain its place as the country's most valuable company.
Looking into the recent list of the most valued company- Reliance Industries stands out as number one in largest IT outsourcer, after that comes Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) which has a market capitalisation of Rs 8.5 lakh crore following which HDFC Bank (Rs 5.7 lakh crore) stands thrid.
As per an NDTV Business, below is the detailed report of the country's most valuable companies, as of Wednesday (August 05):
- Reliance Industries (share price: Rs 2,126.65): Reliance Industries remains at the top position, with a market capitalisation - also known as M-Cap - of Rs 13,48,169.46 crore.
- Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 2,258.8): TCS is the country's largest software services company, with a market value of Rs 8,47,588.66 crore.
- HDFC Bank (Rs 1,027.85): HDFC Bank is at the third position with a market capitalisation of Rs 5,65,238.11 crore.
- Hindustan Unilever (Rs 2,194.45): Fast-moving consumer goods major HUL is next. It is valued at Rs 5,15,597.01 crore.
- Infosys (Rs 944.6): The country's second largest IT company is at the fifth position (Rs 4,02,333.14 crore).
- HDFC (Rs 1,776.9): Mortgage lender HDFC, which has a market value of Rs 3,08,222.00 crore, is next in the list.
- Bharti Airtel (Rs 558.85): With a market value of Rs 3,04,883.82 crore, telecom major Bharti Airtel is at the seventh spot.
- Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs 1,333.85): Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank is eighth, with a market cap of Rs 2,63,951.52 crore.
- ITC (Rs 192.75): Another fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) giant, ITC, is next with a market value of Rs 2,37,000.81 crore.
- ICICI Bank (Rs 352.2): At the tenth spot is private sector lender, ICICI Bank, which has a market value of Rs 2,28,092.68 crore.
