PETROL, DIESEL PRICES CUT AFTER 16 DAYS OF HIKES

In what cannot be considered as a major relief, petrol and diesel prices were lowered on Wednesday, 16 days after consecutive hikes.
This comes in the wake of some softening in global crude prices. Petrol and diesel prices were reduced in the range 1 paise per litre across Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corporation.
With effect from 6:00 am on 30/05/2018, petrol prices were at:
Chennai - Rs. 81.42 per litre
Delhi - Rs. 78.42 per litre
Kolkata - Rs. 81.05 per litre
Mumbai - Rs. 86.23 per litre
Diesel prices were at:
Chennai - Rs. 73.17 per litre
Delhi - Rs. 69.3 per litre
Kolkata - Rs. 71.85 per litre
Mumbai - Rs. 73.78 per litre
