OYO, MAKEMYTRIP, GOIBIBO IN TROUBLE - UNDER INVESTIGATION!

Indian regulator has ordered an investigation as allegations were made by the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), against MakeMyTrip that it gives special treatment to Oyo on its platform, reports NDTV.

"(MakeMyTrip) and OYO have entered into confidential commercial agreements wherein (MakeMyTrip) has agreed to give preferential treatment to OYO on its platform, further leading to a denial of market access to Treebo and Fab Hotels," said the CCI's order, quoting FHRAI's complaint.

Oyo and MakeMyTrip said that they will cooperate with CCI for the investigation.

FHRAI also had long list of allegations. They said that OYO and Go Ibibo and MakeMyTrip indulge in predatory pricing and charging of exorbitant commissions.
