WORK FROM HOME: INFOSYS LOOKING AT HYBRID MODEL FOR THE FUTURE. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM TCS' 25*25 MODEL
Home > News Shots > BusinessInfosys is looking at a hybrid model, where some of our employees will continue to work from home and others from office in the coming months, said COO of the company UB Pravin Rao while speaking at the 39th Infosys Annual General Meeting.
“But it is too early to say how many will work from office in the future, Rao said.
Owing to the COVID-19 triggered lockdown, more than 90 per cent of about 50 lakh IT employees in India are working from home. In Infosys, near to 95 per cent of the employees are working from home and the rest from office.
Responding to a question on campus expansion to North East, Rao said there are no plans to expand right now, but the company would take a call as situation calls for. Infosys has presence in Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.
Infosys' hybrid model is in total contrast to 25*25 model put forth by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
TCS has said that by 2025, 75 per cent of its employees will be working from home permanently and the other 25 per cent will have to work from office only 25 per cent of the time.
