After years of unlimited calling and free internet, Reliance Jio made an announcement that came as a shocker to the people.
The company announced that now Jio will charge people 6 paisa per minute for calling other network numbers to Jio.
The reason behind this is because TRAI is going back on the plan to neglect charges telco pay eachother to make calls to their networks. The charge is 6 paisa per min and it is being transferred on the customers.
If the charges aren't abolished, customers will have to pay 6 paisa per min. However, you can still make free calls using the following offers. Rs.10 recharge gives 124 free minutes and 1 GB data; Rs.20 gives 249 free mins and 2 GB data; Rs.50 gives 656 free mins and 5 GB data; and Rs.100 gives 1362 mins and 10 GB data. While this technically may not be free, but this is the best offer that the customers have got to not pay 6 paise per minute.
