To know whether your PAN card is active, you need to visit Income Tax e-filling website. Below are the steps to check the validity of your PAN card:
1. In www.incometaxindiaefilling.gov.in, click on ‘Know your PAN’ icon.
2. It will redirect you to another page, where you have to fill in your details. Upon filing your registered phone number, you will receive a OTP to your phone number.
3. You will have to enter the OTP and hit ‘Validate’
4. If you have two or more PAN card with same details, a pop up will appear saying “There are multiple records for this query. Provide additional information.”
5. After you enter additional information,the final page appears. If your PAN number has not been duplicated, under the ‘Remarks’ column ‘Active’ will appear.
