According to a report by research firm Counterpoint, Apple earned a profit of $151 (more than Rs 9,600) per handset on an average in the July-September quarter this year. This is five times higher than Samsung’s profit of $31. Counterpoint Research Director Neil Shah was quoted as saying, "Our recent channel checks across key Apple markets showed, the demand for the 256GB version of iPhone X is higher which will boost Apple's profits even higher."
