Exactly a week after Jayesh Sanghrajka who was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and executive vice-president of Infosys resigned his job, a massive breach of accounting policy has been reported by Infosys employees after the name "Ethical Employees". The letter is dated 20 September 2019 to the Board of Directors, Infosys Limited, Bangalore.
Titled as "Disturbing unethical practices," the two pages of the letter has been filled with allegations against CEO Salil Parekh and newly appointed CFO. One of the statements read- CEO told us, "no one in the Board understands these things, they are happy as long as the share price is up. Those two Madrasis (Sundaram and Prahalad) and Diva (Kiran) make silly points, you just nod and ignore them".
Further, it is written that the CEO asks them "not to share large deal information with auditors" and forces to do more such acts that are against "accounting practices".
As per the letter, the employees were told to withhold large deals and important financial measurements from the notice of the board members. The employees also claimed that they have voice recordings and emails as evidence which they would provide upon further investigation. As per TOI, the whistleblower complaint has been placed before the audit committee and it will be dealt according to the company's whistleblower policy.
