BIG ANNOUNCEMENT BY ACCENTURE: COMPANY IS SET TO FIRE 900 EMPLOYEES! DETAILS

IT Major Accenture is set to cut around 900 Jobs in the UK since the fir is trying to reduce cost. Due to the lower demand for its services, the consultancy firm is resorting to cost-cutting measures. 

The company employs around 11,000 people in offices across the UK which includes Aberdeen, London and Cambridge. 

The Firm has announced that the job cuts are going to happen across all levels, including managing directors and all other parts of the business. The process is likely to start from Mid- July and almost 700- 900 people might end up leaving the company by September. 

“We went into the crisis with an overcapacity of people relative to demand. The crisis has caused additional strain on the business due to lower demand and reduced national attrition. In addition, we have identified structural costs that we need to address,” The Guardian cited a source in its report. 

The company noted that it already resorted to measures such as decreasing travel and pausing recruitment but those numbers were not enough for the firm to procees with status quo and hence might have to cut down jobs. 

Accenture warned last week it might have to curb all the new employees hired by the firm across the globe and is rumoured to be planning job cuts in the US as well.

Accenture said in a statement: “We remain confident in our business in the UK for the long term. We are taking steps now to be able to continue investing in our workforce and our business, ensuring we have the right people with the right skills to best serve our clients and are well positioned for the future. We have notified our UK people that it is necessary to go into collective employee consultation for a proposed redundancy programme.”
