A Portuguese-era footbridge at South Goa’s Curchorem reportedly collapsed on Thursday evening. According to reports, more than 40 people were standing on the bridge at the time of the accident. The exact number casualty is unknown and massive rescue operation is on. Notably, the bridge had been closed for vehicular traffic some years ago.
