Sumedhanand Saraswati, a BJP MP from Rajasthan, urged the Centre to carry out a serious research to find out whether cow urine could be used as organic manure and whether it could enhance the agricultural productivity. Earlier, Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for AYUSH, had said government labs have undertaken research on cow urine to identify the anti-infective and anti-cancer agents and nutrients present in them.
