Banks stop giving loans to transportation companies

Banks, including the State Bank of India, have reportedly stopped giving vehicle loans to the drivers of transportation companies like Uber and Ola. According to reports, a senior SBI official has said that the total default amounted to Rs 60 crore in Mumbai. Notably, the default rate in Chennai and Hyderabad is around 7%, added the official.
