For the people to travel across the city with ease and comfort, the private transportation service Uber has planned to introduce Uber Bus services in India. The Uber cab fares were made comparatively affordable when it was started and then it was restored to the normal fare. The Uber service has been extended to various cities across India to facilitate the smoother travel experience for people.

The San-Fransico based transport company has already brought Uber Bus Services in Latin America and Middle- East. Therefore, India is likely to be the next destination for them to launch the Bus Service. According to the reports, Uber has targeted the year 2020 to begin the new service in India.

“We share many of the same goals as the cities we serve: reducing individual car ownership, expanding transportation access, and helping governments plan transportation,” Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber was quoted as saying. Some of the sources revealed that Uber will begin its bus service first at Cairo in Egypt 12 months before launching in India.

People can book the Uber Bus through Uber App similar to booking a cab. Unlike regular public transport, Uber buses will be limited to a lesser distance with minimal stop points. The passengers can reserve their seats for the bus to pick up at their stops. Earlier in 2015, Ola started a bus service in cities like Delhi and Hyderabad. But it had to shut down in 2018 since it failed to generate expected revenue.
