According to reports, automobile manufacturers are stuck with a stock of over 8 lakh vehicles valued at Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 crore after the Supreme Court’s ban on BS-III emission norms. Around 6.71 lakh two-wheelers, 97,000 commercial vehicles, and over 40,000 three wheelers are affected by the ban. Notably, the SC fixed March 31 as the deadline for the sales of BS-III vehicles.
