Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on his return to Chennai on Monday thanked the airport police for escorting him home safely. Ashwin who travelled via the Chennai Metro tweeted, “Such situations dictate usage of the public transport, thank the airport police for taking me through safely.” Notably, violence had broken out in Chennai after the city police cracked down Jallikattu protesters, causing a massive transport breakdown across the city.
