Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin became the first bowler in the history of Test cricket to take over 80 wickets in a single season of Test cricket. 30-year-old Ashwin picked up 82 wickets in 17 Tests, with 68% of his wickets being against top-6 batsmen. The spinner averaged 24 against right-handers, while 20 against left-handed batsmen.
