China on Wednesday claimed that the state of Arunachal Pradesh was not an Indian territory, but a disputed part on the Sino-Indian border. Referring to the Dalai Lama's visit to the state, the Chinese foreign ministry claimed that the Tibetan spiritual leader and Indian officials made provocative statements, which will have an adverse impact on settling the territorial disputes through negotiations.
