In a bid to demand permission to host Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu and ban animal rights organisation PETA, as many as 3,000 people, including students and techies reportedly gathered for an overnight protest along the Marina beach in Chennai on Tuesday. Meanwhile, many gathered for an overnight protest at the Madurai-based Alanganallur village, just hours after the police detained over 200 people on Tuesday morning after they spent a night protesting.
