According to a report by ANI, around 37 people were injured at a Jallikattu event held in Madurai-based Avaniyapuram village on Sunday. The event which hosted over 900 bulls, witnessed around 750 bull tamers compete for honors. While nine of those injured have been admitted to a hospital, the rest were given first aid. To prevent any untoward incident, 500 policemen were deployed for safety.
