Former Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami has reportedly renamed his new media venture ‘Republic’ into Republic TV’. He reportedly sent a letter to Information and Broadcasting ministry seeking fresh up-linking and down-linking permissions under the new name. This comes after BJP MP Subramanian Swamy wrote to I&B ministry opposing the name ‘Republic’. The new channel will go live before the crucial Uttar Pradesh elections in March 2017, suggest reports.
