Consumer electronics major, Apple Inc is reportedly planning to start the “trial assembly” of iPhones in India from May 2017. As a trial, Apple's contractor Wistron is said to begin assembling of iPhone SE at its unit in a Bengaluru suburb. Notably, Apple is yet to get the approval for certain concessions it has asked the central government.
