Up to 13,000 anti-government protesters were secretly hanged in Syria's Saydnaya prison from 2011 to 2015, stated a report by human rights organisation Amnesty International. The report is based on interviews of former guards who were posted at buildings detaining protestors. Interviewees reportedly said 20 to 50 people were hanged weekly.
