Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife Sadhna Yadav has reportedly said both Akhilesh and Prateek Yadav are her two eyes, stating how it feels if one eye is injured. She reportedly added, “The word 'stepmother' which has been used by people is entirely wrong.” Notably, Akhilesh is Mulayam’s first wife Malti Devi’s son, and Prateek was born to Sadhna.
